This historic inn caught my attention with its charming decor and cozy atmosphere. My room offered a comfortable gas fireplace and a lovely view of the surrounding town. The breakfast each morning included hands-down the best french toast I've ever had, elevating my mornings greatly. The owners were genuinely accommodating, ensuring a warm welcome during my stay. However, the bed frame squeaked with any movement, which became quite distracting at night. Additionally, the smoke detector started chirping because the batteries hadn't been replaced, adding some inconvenience. Despite these issues, the overall experience at Lafayette Inn was delightful, especially considering the proximity to wineries and hiking trails in the Shenandoah National Park. Definitely worth a visit, but pay attention to the minor details that could improve the stay.

Our stay at this quaint inn was lovely! The room retained its historic charm, and breakfast featured some of the best french toast I've ever had. We also found nearby wineries, like Early Mountain, perfect for family fun.
My wife says that the squeaky bed frame was quite distracting.

Families will love this spot
The owners went above and beyond for us providing ice for our cooler every day and the breakfast was the best I've had in a long time especially the french toast and scrambled eggs.
It wasn’t cheap but still acceptable.

Had a fantastic time! The french toast served at breakfast was out of this world, and the warm welcome from the staff made us feel right at home. Plus, it's an easy drive to the Shenandoah National Park!
However, the bed frame squeaked quite a bit, which was a bit distracting during the night.
